I Choose!
That is the single most declarative (focused) statement one can make. I choose – to no longer. To be or not to be. It’s my decision, in my hands and even if I give it over to others. It still returns to me. My choice.
I say this to say as an author there are decisions you make that lead to success or failure. There are decisions you make as to which character to kill or which character to enrichen. There are literal life and death decisions (even moreso with Christian faith writers) in the palm of your hands – with a decision.
I Choose!
To publish or be published so that people can hear my voice. To speak with the authority God gave me because He gave me. He trusted me with a voice so I must speak and tell the whole story as complete as I know it. To tell my story, with all the twists and faults and full of faith deliverances, with the revelation of Jesus Christ. As revealed to me. In my understanding… In my call and answer…
This decision I share with you, my readers, because life is short in the gather of things. Life is confusing and full of questions but they all have an answer in finding your voice and using it. Finding yourself and joining to purpose. Finding you and identifying Him in You, the light in you. And following that light where it leads.
I Choose!
To be more than a signpost on the highway of life (living) and death (dead). To be more than narrator but a clarifying voice – there is a better way. There is a better decision. There is a better choice. Choose it and be made alive! Choose it and find (a piece of) what you’re looking for. And the faith – the direction to pursue more.
Thank you to the readers who grant my publications space in their library. To those who find my voice helpful. Thank you to my detractors for making me a better person than I ought to be and some time want to be. For keeping my footing in God and His word. May you all have blessing with the receiving and reading of God’s word; Christ’s word; The Word.
