A Gift and A Thought to Bless you
It’s my first Christmas post in the new digs and I wanted to share something special. Something perhaps a bit more meaningful than “Peace and Joy to the World.” I want to share with you a trajectory – a path from where I’ve been to where I’m going and why I think this will be a yearly thing.
To close out a season – a harvest and welcome in a new. Welcome to the New Year. It hasn’t begun yet, but with the holiday… With Christmas comes thoughts of a new birth, a new beginning. Even though we celebrate Christ’s arrival (whether or not the timing is appropriate). We celebrate a new life different from every other life (light) hope – that’s ever been before.
For years everyone expected it. Some may have lost it to time others may have quit believing and forgotten it. But to live through it and witness our own “let there be light” moment. Let there be light in the mist of this darkness and chaos. Let there be light, a glimmer of hope, so that the creature is not born afraid of the night but is awakened to the glory of Gods’ presence in the day. Selah
