This little hint of inspiration came to me moments ago and I had to share it for those struggling with issues or finding, seeding and watering your seed of faith.
It covers several verses but more specifically provides an image for you to relate to and replay; relay in your mind to help you in your time of need. During and to endure the trouble you face.
Before I begin however let me say.
It’s strange that most of our lessons of faith are illustrative; use imagery – but we aren’t trained by our elders to relate our faith to others using the same technique. Nevertheless. During a particularly difficult time God reminded me there are all types of angels watching over me; watching out for me. There are “people” tending to my every need even when/ if I don’t see them. And as I said I was enduring a particularly rough stretch when out of my thoughts and His word and relaying came a comical thought. A true thought and a great thought, but laughter ensued nonetheless because of a unique truth. There are angels – watching his word to perform it.
There are angels created to do the work of God in the spiritual. There are angels watching over and protecting you. There are angels whose assignment is you and sometimes not the ones you think.
We tend to think of angels in this romanticized view. Holy and benevolent serving God with harps and strings. The little fat baby with an arrow shooting hearts at valentine. But that’s not what the bible says. More specifically that’s not what the bible projects.
And here’s where his word to me gets good. When you feel you may be defeated. Close to defeat and can’t endure another moment, there are angels handling “standing on business” to handle things for YOU. Not the fancy type angels you might be used to thinking about. Not the pretty and Holy Dressed angels spotless in white robes and all that. There are angels who are meant to get busy with your opponent when you can’t. When you’re “lacking” or don’t aren’t sure you’re able. There are beings and things happening in the spiritual and sometimes it ain’t pretty.
This is the gift god gave me. An image if you will. When the devil don’t listen – somethings require an overwhelming force.
I quickly called them bully angels (it made laugh so deeply to think of them that way); guardian angels if you will. But defenders of you in any case. I need you to know God has specialists on your case. Imagery aside. God has helpers available when you need – There is no circumstance God is not prepared for. There is no circumstance God does not provide for you.
God has people (Acts 18:10) and also spiritual assistance to help you and it ain’t always pretty as one might think. Sometimes you gotta get down and dirty – ruff and tuff with your enemy (adversary) and God has a specialist or specialists for that…
That being said enjoy the images of some “defenders” of you from God working on your behalf and let them influence your thoughts with these reminders
- Jeremiah 1:2 – God, Himself, watches His Word to perform it. To ensue it performs to and conforms to every situation.
- 2 Kings 6:8-23 – A new perspective sometimes helps. Greater is He who is for us than he who is against us. (1 John 4:4)
- Daniel 10:13 – Even your back up has backup. Nothing is left to chance.
- Ezekiel 10:12 – It ain’t all pretty pictures or in common street slang “It ain’t all sweet over here”
- Acts 18:10 – Don’t forget that people count too. Everybody is not out to get you.
I hope this blesses you as it did me and grows your faith just a little bit more. Also let this serve as a reminder to speak His word, Often! Let His word stretch you and be a stretcher of His word in you and your trust in Him a little bit further.
